WILD NAYA WOMEN’S MEDICINE WHEEL – THE
COMPASS OF YOUR FEMININITY
A few years ago, a special encounter began, from which a deeply creative and inspiring
collaboration developed. Isabel Seda and I, Bernadette Schwarz, have since created many heartfelt
projects together.
Isabel designed my visuals for the WILD NAYA YOGA teacher training for women, developed
logos, and shaped the visual world of my work over many years. As an artist of the WILD NAYA
ACADEMY – the largest handpan academy in the world – she created magical moments with her
live paintings during concert evenings, which deeply touched the audience. Each of her works was
a work of art full of depth, intuition, and expressive power.
When I told her about my developed female medicine wheel – inspired by the traditional Lakota
medicine wheel – a special resonance was immediately felt. From this shared understanding,
something unique emerged:
The WILD NAYA Female Medicine Wheel – the compass of your femininity.
But my journey into my femininity began much earlier – and it was not always easy.
I remember a sentence from my childhood:
“Now you have it too, your period (menstruation), now you’ve got the trouble!”
When I was confronted with the fact that I was now bleeding as a woman, there was no sense of
celebration or transition. No welcome into my femininity. Instead, there was shame, insecurity, and
the feeling that something “uncomfortable” had begun.
Today I know: back then there should have been much more awareness of the beauty and power of
this transition from girl to woman.
I was never angry with my mother. She did not know any better herself. And today I can speak
openly with her about it, look back together, and understand her context – a time when
menstruation was still taboo.
Today, much has changed. It is increasingly brought into the center of life.
From this personal story, my approach to the female medicine wheel has emerged.
A compass that leads you back to yourself.
This medicine wheel is more than a concept. It is an invitation to know yourself more deeply and
connect with your feminine essence.
I am deeply grateful for this collaboration.
